Stanton University secured another victory against the Cal Maritime Keelhaulers in a thrilling rematch this time on Stanton's home turf at Great Park. After an intense showdown in the Bay Area last season, where Stanton emerged victorious, the teams faced off again, with Stanton once again coming out on top.
The encounter started in dramatic fashion, with Francesco De Marco setting a new Stanton University record by scoring the opening goal just 50 seconds into the game, stunning the Keelhaulers. This lightning-quick strike gave Stanton early momentum, which they carried into the second half.
Paulo Nakashigue and Miguel Nacimento added two more goals for Stanton during the second half. Cal Maritime, however, refused to go down without a fight, managing to net two goals of their own in the closing minutes. Despite their late surge, the Keelhaulers fell just short, and Stanton claimed a hard-fought 3-2 victory.
